A poem, written in the style of Christina Rossetti:
Frightened, my little one, worried and wary?
  Don’t fall asleep, lest your cousins get bolder:
Cut out your heart as they smile so scary,
  Or worse walk past you with such a cold shoulder.
The Old Man, the Child, the Drunk, and the Lady;
  The Carnival Barker, Worrier, Student,
Go hide in the corner, as it grows shady.
  Beware your family, for this is quite prudent.
